"Those people who were receiving checks back then of ,000 for royalties now receive paychecks for ," he said, highlighting the challenges faced by musicians in the modern music industry.However, Maccarrone's unwavering passion for music has sustained him throughout the years. "Music to me is as important as oxygen and food. "When you listen to something digital, or a CD, you think 'Oh that's a good song,' and you hit a button," he explained. "A record, you've got to get up, pick the needle up, put it at the beginning of the record. You've just become a member of the band, you're playing an instrument in the band, you're a part of it. It's different."Despite the challenges faced by the music industry, Maccarrone's unwavering dedication to his craft has allowed him to continue pursuing his passion. He and his band, That Sound In Your Head, regularly perform around Salt Lake City, and he is currently working on recording an album, further cementing his place as a true champion of the vinyl resurgence.
